I just couldn't wait!

I have been so busy this past week. My graduation party is Saturday: the to-do list for that is huge! Right now my biggest focus is the movie i am making for it, it's taken up so much of my time! But I am almost done...then for the scrapbooks... Also, my 'lil cousins who live far away are staying with us for the week so I have to keep them entertained.

Those things on top of everything else has left me short on blogging time. But there is something else that has cut my blogging time short, something that I had to make time to blog about because I just couldn't wait any longer to share....

LOOKIE WHAT I FINALLY GOT!!!!!

A NIKON D60!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOHOOOOOO!

I am so excited. I've been wanting one of these for awhile now, but I did not expect it this soon. I feel so professional and cool when I use it. I can not wait to get new lenses and other stuff for it, this hobby is addicting!

Well, I just really wanted to share that with ya'll. Sorry I don't have any pictures that I took with it to post, I know that's kind of expected but I've been so busy!

No worries though, as soon as this party is over with I should be able to blog more often! And I betcha there will be lots more pictures!

And I thought I took alot of pictures before..... ;)

Love,

  2. Yeah for you! You will love it! I totally love my D60! I can't wait to get new lenses for mine too. Let me know what lenses you end up getting and what you think of them. I have a Sigma 17-100 mm lens F2.8 that I really like. It works soooooo wonderful in low light. I NEVER HARDLY EVER have to use my flash which rocks!

COngrats girlie! I understand the whole busy thing because that is my life these days!

  8. Thanks for the comment. I knew the words would be backwards but I still liked the rest of it. Maybe I will have to crop in or do some effect to make the words not so noticable. And for now I am using picnik. I don't even have photoshop at all. I need it though, looks like a lot of fun.

  9. Hey Dea,

This is Annette at Pixels Perfect. You left me a kind comment on my blog and asked what I shoot with. I couldn't reply to your post, as your email was disabled, so I hope you get this comment.

First, YEA, I love your new camera! Great choice. I bet you are loving it.

    I have a Nikon D80. My lens are a
    50 mm 1.8
    18-135 mm 3.5
Nikkor 70-300 mm 4.5 AF-S (use this one all the time for wildlife shots and catching my kids when they are far away and think no one is looking).

Your photos look great. I look forward to seeing more.

  10. Feel free to email me at
    ohnuttyone at gmail dot com
(obviously change the at and dot)
then I will have your email address

Lets see, yes, Nikkor is the brand of lens. The "full name" of the lens is
    AF-S Nikkor 70-300 mm 1:4.5-5.6 G VR

AF-S means the lens has a built in motor for auto focusing. I can't remember if your D60 has auto focus or not, I know the D40 does not.

VR means the lens has vibration reduction.
70-300 mm is the focal length.
4.5-5.6 are the f-stops. Meaning the largest aperture setting I can get is an f-stop of 4.5 (at 70mm) or 5.6 (at 300mm)
Don't know what the G means.

What lens do you have already?

    Go ahead, add away!!
